How did you first become involved with the NSCAA?
As a young assistant coach I began taking NSCAA courses. Having scored very high during my courses I was asked to join the staff.

Why do you continue to stay involved with the NSCAA?
As far as I am concerned, it is the best coaching education program in the country (all sports included).

Why do you like teaching NSCAA courses?
I love sharing my passion for coaching with other coaches while always learning from their experiences as well.

What is your favorite NSCAA course to teach and why?
I love them all for the variety of coaches they attract.

What is the best thing about the NSCAA Academy?
The camaraderie and love of the game in addition to our organization constantly striving to be the best for our constituency.

Who is your all-time favorite player?
Michelle Akers - The toughest, most dedicated, talented and spiritual player I have ever known.

Marcia McDermott, Janet Rayfield, Sue Ryan, Anson Dorrance

What advice would you give to young coaches?
Know that becoming a good coach takes TIME, patience and work. Don't ever forget that all players play the game first and foremost for the love of the game and the fun that comes from it.

What is your favorite book and why?
It's not About the Bike -Tremendously inspirational in the face of adversity The Red Tent - Women's strength, support and history Standing Fast - The story of a warrior and a woman of faith

What is your favorite movie and why?
Million Dollar Baby - Success in the face of adversity, trust and loyalty in relationships and not a fairy tale ending.

What is the last book you read?
The Carolina Way - Dean Smith, Crash Course - Chris Whittle

If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be and why?
Jesus Christ - No one else had His ability to positively impact so many lives.
